The Vero Beach Museum of Art is the largest cultural arts facility of its kind on Florida's Treasure Coast. This accredited art museum is a precious cultural gem that is admired, visited, and appreciated by over 125,000 residents and tourists annually.
Renovated and expanded to 55,412 square feet in 1998-99, the arts facility now features five art galleries, sculpture garden, an education wing with seven studio classrooms, an art library, seminar rooms, a 3,800 square foot outdoor studio and foundry, a 250-seat auditorium, museum store, and ideal spaces for art installations, performances, and public programs.
Situated on 7.2 acres of Indian River County's 26 acre Riverside Park on the east bank of the Indian River lagoon, this truly unique art museum and educational institution provides the opportunity for the cultural enrichment of the public through exhibitions, explorations in the humanities through programs of lectures and seminars, offerings in the musical, cinematic, and dramatic arts, and the collection, preservation, and presentation of important art with emphasis on American art and Florida artists.
The public is encouraged to participate at the Museum through an array of educational offerings ranging from casual encounters to intensive studies in the arts. Its curricula of over 100 accredited classes offered each year to over 1,000 students in conjunction with Indian River Community College, establishes the Museum as the largest school within a museum in the State of Florida.
